At 12:45 a.m., a report of a skinny Hispanic male adult going between houses on Southwest Wyatt Street looking like he was trying to hide. Police were unable to locate the subject.

At 11:49 a.m., Elizabeth Sanders was lodged on an outstanding failure to appear warrant.

At 1:37 a.m., a report of a domestic dispute at the Ellendale Manor Apartments. When the police arrived, one subject had a swollen lip, but she said she fell in the bathroom. The Department of Human Services established a safety plan where the two cannot be around each other with children present.

At 8:31 a.m., the south-facing wall of the church on Southwest Ash Street was painted with various vulgar phrases and images over the night. The incident is under investigation. The pastor’s wife suspects her nephew might be involved.

At 5:54 p.m., Kelsey Wilson was lodged for assault.

At 6:37 p.m., Jesus Huerta was lodged for harassment and criminal mischief.

At 1:07 p.m., a juvenile was caught on camera stealing the neighbor’s rabbit.

At 5:19 p.m., a verbal dispute between two people was reported. Police found the female subject sitting with all her stuff on the sidewalk in front of the apartment. She said she accidentally called 911.

At 7:38 p.m., Nicole Hight was lodged for domestic assault.

At 9:32 a.m., Lucas Goodwin was lodged for burglary, theft and trespassing.

At 12:27 p.m., a person wanted to know if a subject had been released from jail and, if so, why she was not informed. She was advised to go to court and obtain a no-contact order.

At 9:52 a.m., a complainant was upset that a neighbor might have been taking pictures of her outside her house. When she tried to confront him, he drove away. She inquired about getting a restraining order.

At 10:35 p.m., a noise complaint was made about kids being loud on a trampoline at Southeast Uglow Avenue. The police asked an adult at the location to keep the noise down.

At 2:39 a.m., four juveniles were out past curfew and were returned to their homes and released to their parents.

At 10:24 a.m., the Spray N Shine Carwash vacuums were broken into. One machine had some of the locks broken.

At 1:36 p.m., a citizen brought money they found by Lyle School to the Dallas Police Department.

At 1:40 p.m., report of a physical domestic between a juvenile versus mother and stepsister on Southwest Cherry Street. The juvenile was lodged at the Yamhill Juvenile Detention Center.

At 10:20 p.m., a motorist got her car stuck on the railroad tracks on Southeast Birch Street. Police stood by until Dallas Towing could get her unstuck.

At 12:55 p.m., three juveniles were lodged at Yamhill County juvenile detention center for robbery and criminal conspiracy.

At 5:52 p.m., an unknown male was recording people leaving Safeway. No crime was committed but believed to be related to armed robbery.

At 12:53 p.m., deputies were unable to locate any reported dogs on the loose in or around a church in the 300 block of Southeast Fir Villa Road.

At 3:38 p.m., a report of a suspicious truck in a field in the 3900 block of Wallace Road turned out to be some sort of farm truck.

At 7:02 p.m., a male subject just released from Polk County Jail sought a courtesy ride to Salem, needing to get to his girlfriend who had his belongings. He was told the PCSO wasn’t able to give courtesy rides. He then said he needed medics for chest pain. The deputy told him they wouldn’t be able to transport him either, but called them nevertheless. They evaluated him and his vitals were normal. However, the deputy was able to contact his father, who came and got him.

At 9:38 p.m., a motorist was stopped for speeding and passing in a no passing zone on Salmon River Highway near King Road. The driver was cited for passing in a no passing zone and warned for speeding and failure to carry proof of insurance.

At 10:03 p.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 67 mph in a 45-mph zone in the 27100 block of Salmon River Highway. In addition, the driver was cited for having no operator’s license and failure to install an ignition interlock device.

At 12:21 a.m., a report of someone shooting off fireworks or guns north of a residence on 55th Avenue near Aster Street. A deputy drove the area of 55th Avenue and Eola Street for about 15 minutes but did not hear anything.

At 7:18 a.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 78 mph in a 55-mph zone on Highway 18 near milepost 22.

At 11:15 a.m., deputies investigated a report of theft at KD Sand and Gravel at 2470 River Bend Road. A male subject had been on the property illegally and told to leave. Site superintendent wanted to pursue trespassing charges. Deputies located the vehicle and stopped it at Orchard View Avenue and Wallace Road. The subject was driving criminally suspended (misdemeanor). He was arrested for criminal trespass 2 and driving while suspended – misdemeanor.

At 2:57 p.m., a report of another attempted break in that occurred on June 29 of a shed belonging to the Grand Ronde Church of the Nazarene. A pastor for the church suspects a known, female juvenile. The case is still under investigation.

At 8 p.m., a deputy was flagged down by a citizen reporting juveniles lighting bark on fire behind a location in the 1100 block of Wallace Road. The deputy was unable to locate any fires.

At 8:26 p.m., a motorist was stopped on Wallace Road near 9th Street for expired registration and failure to stop when emerging from driveway. The driver was cited driving while suspended - violation, failure to register vehicle and driving uninsured. The driver was warned for failure to carry/present a license.

At 8:16 p.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 80 mph in 55-mph zone on Highway 99 near milepost 54.

At 7:38 a.m., a deputy came across a vehicle with transmission issues parked off roadway but not in a good spot on Highway 22 near milepost 23. The driver had a tow truck on the way.

At 8:01 a.m., a deputy came across an abandoned Saturn SUV partially in the bushes at the park-n-ride on Perrydale Road near Highway 22. ODOT was notified as it is their property.

At 9:01 a.m., while at the Center Market on Washington Street, a deputy was shown four counterfeit $5 bills used at the store on Monday. While there, the suspect who used the bills suddenly walked by. The deputy contacted the suspect and the case was turned over to Dallas Police.

At 11:58 a.m., a subject was arrested for harassment in the 29600 block of 29600 block of Joe Day Way. The subject was lodged at Polk County Jail without incident.

At 10:19 a.m., an adult male husky found in the 1200 block of Wallace Road, without a collar nor a chip, was turned into the West Valley Humane Society.

At 1:48 p.m., a report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries 12800 block of South Kings Valley Highway.

At 2:10 p.m., a report of two males selling marijuana to juveniles at the Michael Harding Park in Falls City. A deputy contacted the suspect, who turned out to only be delivering burritos to his kids and their friends.

At 2:30 p.m., a report of a male subject bitten by a pit bull 2000 block of Mouse Bird Avenue. The owner was cited for maintaining a dog as a public nuisance.

At 12:28 a.m. a resident in the 9000 block of Hopewell Road reported her neighbor pointed a gun at her and her husband. The neighbor admitted he shot but said it was at some coyotes. Deputies are investigating security camera footage.

At 2:50 a.m., a report of a single vehicle, rollover crash on Maple Grove Road just west of Doll Road. The 87-year-old driver reported he was driving west on Maple Grove on his way home from his nightly drive (because he has a hard time falling asleep at night) when he fell asleep on Maple Grove. He woke up to his car rolling over. Other than a small laceration on the top of his head, he had no other injuries.

At 8:56 a.m., a deputy responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 600 block of Cascade Drive. The deputy found a transient in a tool shed on the property. He was taken into custody and the burglary investigation was turned over to Salem Police.

At 8:34 a.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 78 mph in a 55-mph zone in the 10900 block of Highway 22.

At 2:44 p.m., deputies assisted Dallas Police with checking the area for suspects from an armed robbery in the 200 block of Ellendale Avenue. They detained a juvenile subject. They remained on scene until relieved by Dallas Police.

At 11:04 p.m., deputies located a male subject at a residence in the 4000 block of Orchard Heights Road and arrested him for trespassing, burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle that was located in the driveway.

At 8:08 p.m., deputies investigated a hit and run accident in the 300 block of Main Street in Falls City. A male subject got in an argument with another male subject, ran his car into the other’s then left the scene. The suspect returned to continue the argument the two were having over a pellet gun. During that time, the subject threw a glass bottle from the vehicle and it broke on the ground. He was arrested for failure to perform duties - property, reckless driving, reckless endangering, disorderly conduct and offensive littering.

At 7:56 p.m., a report of a U-Haul driver who hit the corner water gutter of a store in the 5900 block of Wallace Road.

At 10:46 p.m., a deputy came across a male subject barbecuing a steak at the Social Security Fishing Hole in the 5300 block of Halls Ferry Road. The subject said he was taking a break to eat and catch his breath while waiting for his dad who was interred at Salem Hospital.

At 12:48 a.m., a deputy was about to pull over a motorist for speeding on Clow Corner Road, the driver suddenly decelerated to 23-30 mph and was pulled over. The driver said he braked like he did because the deputy was “riding” him. The deputy ensured him he was never closer than about three car lengths up until the moment he was about to stop the vehicle. The driver was cited for unlawful deceleration.

At 1:44 a.m., a motorist was cited for speeding 76 mph in a 55-mph zone on Highway 22 near Kings Valley Highway.

At 3:03 a.m., a deputy made contact with a motorist pulled over in the 15900 block of Airlie Road listening to very loud music. The deputy told the driver a nearby neighbor complained. The driver said this was her “chill spot” after she got off work. Not breaking any laws the deputy knew of, he recommended she maybe turn the music down a bit. He left the driver to listen to her music.

At 6:27 a.m., a report of a single vehicle accident into a tree then caught fire on Salem Dallas Highway near Doaks Ferry Road.

At 12:45 p.m., a report of two juvenile females seen walking on Monmouth Highway carrying bags. A deputy located them at Smith Road. The two said they were at one of their houses nearby and decided to go for hike but got lost. One of the girls got on the phone with her mom who picked them up.

At 6:17 p.m., a small, black/white/brown, Minpin/Chihuahua mix male dog with no collar was found 28800 block of Salmon River Highway and was transported to Willamette Humane Society.

At 6:07 p.m., a motorist was stopped for speeding on Highway 22 near Independence Highway. The driver was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55-mph zone and for failure to carry proof of financial responsibility.

At 6:23 p.m., residents in the 100 block of 50th Avenue reported seeing someone running from their home. Multiple PCSO units arrived in the area and created a perimeter to the east, however no suspect was located.

At 11:02 p.m., a report of a residential burglary/break in the 3700 block of Orchard Heights Road of a home still being constructed.

At 11:37 p.m., a report of a struck deer in the roadway of Pacific Highway near Rickreall Road.

At 12:28 a.m., a deputy observed and stopped a motorist weaving on top of each line several times and one time over the yellow line by about a tire width. The driver was cited for driving while suspended – violation.

At 2:50 a.m., a report of gunshots heard on Gooseneck Road near Finn Road.

At 3:03 a.m., a report of a burglary in progress at Les Schawb in the 500 block of Wallace Road. It turned out to be the cleaning crew.

At 5:56 a.m., a motorist was stopped for taillights out on Highway 22 near Greenwood Road. The driver was cited for failure to install an ignition interlock device.

At 5:56 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident with damage to power pole and utility box in the 4800 block of Zena Road. Medics transported driver to Salem Hospital where a blood draw revealed the driver had a BAC of .131. The driver was cited for driving under the influence of an intoxicant and for reckless driving.

At 10:11 a.m., a resident in the 3400 block of Mill Creek Road reported an apparently abandoned hound mix dog came onto their property, howled all night and wouldn’t leave. A deputy rounded him up and took him to the Dallas kennel.

At 7:14 p.m., deputies responded to a t-bone style crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of N Main Street and Ellis Street. At fault driver was cited for failure to maintain lane.

At 8:59 p.m., deputies received a call of a “kidnap” from Brush College Park. The caller reported a female tied up in the back of a vehicle. A deputy located and pulled over a suspect vehicle. There was no one in the trunk and no kidnapping had occurred. Salem officers interviewed the occupants regarding their call and the deputy gave the driver a written warning for failing to signal a turn.

At 9:40 p.m., a male subject called the PCSO wanted to retrieve belongings from the stolen vehicle he was driving. The vehicle was impounded by PCSO. The deputy let him know he was unsure if we would give him access to the vehicle given the circumstances.

Kyle Jefferey Casey, 26, a transient, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Mario Hernandez Rosas, 31, of Salem, was arrested for driving while suspended – misdemeanor.

Matthew J. Browning, 38, of Monmouth, was arrested for assault, recklessly endangering another and two counts of failure to perform duties of a driver.

Cody M. Chavez, 28, of Independence, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Santos Silva Soto, 28, of Salem, was arrested for driving while suspended.

Jacob R. Woods, 47, of Monmouth, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
